Toshi is set to service the lead single to radio and club DJs. "Nothing But Your Love", the title of the album as well as the single, is the quintessential expression of Toshi's style and musical talent. As a special treat, the single includes a few different mixes. The first was done by The Roots, who also colaborated with Toshi to do other album cuts. Jay Dee, who has done work with Q-Tip and Common, adds his extraordinary talent to the vocal by mixing it with some of his patented jazzy flavor. All three mixes are quite seductive and leave you with just a small taste of some of that Toshi funk.

On Tuesday, July 25th you can catch that same sultry vibe on the album. Prior to that be on the look out for Toshi's snippet tape- mixed by the soul junky Mark Ronson. If you are really fiending for new soul, ToshiKubota.com is the place where you can find all of the info you need, including updates and snippets from the new album. Cosmic groove has captured the website and now it's looking hotter than ever. Let us know what you think.

Through the looking glass...Toshi just wrapped up a string session in Philadelphia with legendarystring arranger Larry Gold, and we have the photos! For those of you whomight not know, Larry's distinguished career goes back to the 70's, when hewas one of the architects of the classic Philly Soul sound. Back in theday, he scored everyone from the Stylistics to the O'Jays, and today hekeeps busy with some folks you may have heard of... like The Roots, Brandy, and Monica. Topping it all off, he's also a nice guy, and it was truly bothan honor and a pleasure for Toshi to work with him. Thanks, Larry!"
