Toshi is back in New York City after completing about 20 live shows around the country, as part of Anthony Hamilton and Angie Stone's "Silk . Sandpaper Tour". The response has been overwhelming! Audiences at the mostly sold-out shows have been telling us how they have been blown away by Toshi's voice and singing! Check out the Reviews section for more press coverage on the tour. While in Los Angeles, Toshi taped an episode of "Soul Train". Thats right, Soooooooul Train! That will make him the first Japanese born singer to perform on the show in it's long, prestigious history. The show will air on November 13, so check your local listings, mark your datebooks, and set your alarms! You won't want to miss this very special broadcast! "Breaking Through" is getting good radio play in various cities. We still need your help to keep it growing and to make it even more successful! Time To Share Contest 1 New Contest! It's Time To Share! 10 people will win a copy of the official Time To Share CD Sampler from Sony Urban Music/Epic. It's the ultimate preview of the album due out September 21st. The sampler features the full length street anthem "Living For Today" f/ Mos Def, as well as the full length track of the single, "Breaking Through". There are also snippets of "Shadows of Your Love" and "Yaheat/Mybeat" from the album. A'ight, here's what to do... based on the theme of the album, Time To Share, tell us how you would propose to share Toshi's music with someone who has never heard of him before. Maybe your UPS delivery person. Maybe your local radio station DJ. It's up to you. Entries will be judged on creativity, but as well as how realistic it would be to actually do it. Send in your proposal to info@jammincorp.com. The chosen winners will receive the Sampler, and if you follow through with your proposal, please send us a picture or appropriate proof, and we will post it on the site. Hurry! Shot at the Marquee Night Club in Manhattan, the video includes some special cameos by Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Toure, and others. We think it will be Toshi's most stylish and hip video to date.
